Not take them to the track but you could if you teach them right and you don't even have to bet. You can bring the kids to see the wonderful and most beautiful horses you will ever see and there colorful outfits. It's a very nice area to walk around sit and people watch. The place is also an entertainment destination, offering horse racing, a casino, bars, restaurants and some high-end shopping.
just north of Miami is one of the most scenic racetracks in America. Also the shops, the food and yes the casino. Gulfstream Park, located in Hallandale Beach, Fla. Then you can always walk around and read the plaques on the walls and see the history that has been there. But I've spent more money in a bar and a casino in less time, and not had the fun of an afternoon like that at the track.
Sometimes we go home with $20-$50, and some times the money we started with or more (not Always). Out of that pocket comes our bevs., snacks, and when the first money is gone we go.
to bet with win or loose, we pick our horses, watch them and yes yell for them, if they win put the money in your other pocket. If you can handle betting and not get addicted it's a great day. It seems to me if you have $2, $100, or a lot more, you can have a lot of fun if you go to watch horse racing and try to pick a winner and actually feel the excitement as your horse comes down that stretch towards the finish line. If You Are Or Not Into Horse Racing you might be surprised at all that the whole Gulfstream Park/ Casino area has to offer.
